In pursuance of the decision taken at the Apex Committee Meeting held on July 16, 2010, under the Chairmanship of Cabinet Secretary, Shri K M Chandrasekhar, 5 Regional Consultation Workshops were organized from Sept-Oct 2010 in Chandigarh, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai and Lucknow to gain State specific inputs regarding challenges related to speeding up on e-Services. In the next phase, 50 State and District level workshops are being organised to raise further awareness about NeGP, share knowledge about the various e-Governance initiatives of the States, interact with industry to learn about the various emerging technologies; and discuss challenges in speeding up the delivery of e-Services.
