In an endeavour to increase the trust of citizens in the online environment and to enable the various Government Agencies to choose appropriate authentication mechanism, the Department of Information Technology, Government of India has conceptualised the e-Pramaan framework for authentication of public services. In this regard, a draft framework document was prepared and shared with different stakeholders. The framework provides a uniform approach to manage identity authentication of all citizens for the delivery of various services over internet and mobile platform.
To proceed further, DIT has been organising a consultation meeting on the approach and implementation roadmap for e-Pramaan framework.
