Accessibility
Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has been at the forefront of promoting inclusivity and accessibility for people with disabilities and has taken various initiatives to make the ICT ecosystem more accessible.
In this regard, various initiatives have been undertaken by MeitY and such initiatives include formulation of ICT Accessibility Standards, Guidelines for Indian Government websites (GIGW), Punarjjani, Sign language accessibility for e-governance Services, Virtual-Reality-based Assistive System for Learning and Assessment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, etc.
In this regard, a compendium has been prepared that provides a holistic overview of the above-mentioned initiatives undertaken by MeitY.
